Tonic Team

Our philosophy and ethics

These are straightforward. Tonic looks to attract the very best people in the communications industry and then works extremely hard to make sure they stay part of its family. The senior Team at Tonic are firm believers in placing the Team at the very centre of our success. As a consequence, Tonic invests significantly in employee development, training and well being. Tonic also actively listens to its Team's needs, creates a positive culture and share equitably the rewards of our efforts.

The Team is continually taking strides to improve our own environmental footprint by adopting greener practices and procedures in the way we do business. Very simply, Tonic works by the principle: 'having good ethics means always doing what is right, even when nobody is looking'.

Matt, Senior Account Manager

"Above all the other companies I visited, I just got a good feeling about the place and I made up my mind straight away that this is a company I’d enjoy working at – three and a half years in it seems I was right."

Laura, Assistant Account Executive

"After leaving university and moving to London, it was really important to me to find a place to work that could offer progression opportunities and a challenge but somewhere that was also friendly and Tonic fits the bill."

Rachel, Account Director

"I joined Tonic because I relished the entrepreneurial culture and the fact that far from creating one image, one voice and one approach Tonic seemed to support the individual, helping people pursue their own interests, supporting them in very personal aspirations and encouraging them to be themselves as they entered the business world."

Lisa, Senior Account Director

"Since joining Tonic I haven’t looked back. Despite continuing to grow in size it still retains the spirit and values of a small independent agency. The lack of politics and bureaucracy is refreshing to say the least"

Claire, Account Manager

"I decided to join Tonic because I was tired of working in a big impersonal corporate PR firm. I wanted to join an agency where I was able to get more involved, be creative and pushed in terms of my personal development. Tonic stood out from the crowd and had a very refreshing appeal."

Helen, Senior Account Manager

"After experiencing ‘big agency life’ I was looking for a new challenge. Tonic offered this by giving a sense of freedom and trust given to employees. It’s enthusiasm for communications and drive to succeed. The people!

Gurjit, Account Executive

"I chose Tonic because during my interview it came across as a laid back, relaxed company and a good place for me to begin my PR career."

Leah, Account Director

"I chose to join Tonic, and the reason I believe clients choose us, is that we deliver ‘big agency’ global, UK and US campaigns, without the ‘big agency’ politics and culture."

Lee-Ann, Account Director

"Before I joined Tonic I was working in genetic research in the pharmaceutical industry - Tonic was willing to give me an opportunity and support me in my decision to pursue a new career in healthcare communications. It’s been a very fulfilling four years. The culture is informal and friendly and there are lots of opportunities to do well. It's a great place to work..."

Claire, Account Director

"I wanted to be part of a successful, fast-growing company specialising in healthcare communications. Tonic is just that. Defined as something that ‘invigorates, refreshes and restores whatever it touches’, Tonic’s core values including enthusiasm, innovation and integrity really appealed to me."

Kiran, Account Manager

"I chose to leave my previous company and join Tonic because I feel that Tonic has a much more creative approach to PR and communications than most other agencies; there seems to be more freedom to take ownership of your own accounts and grow them, whilst still receiving guidance and advice from more senior members of the team."

Chrissy, Account Coordinator

"I chose to work for the Tonic Team because I saw the company as a great place to use the skills I obtained in both college and past professional experiences. Working for Tonic has given me the opportunity to work with and learn from some of the best and brightest in the industry."

Monica, Account Director

"I was initially attracted to Tonic because of the personalised feel I got from the agency, and I’m happy to say that hasn’t changed 4 and a half years on! Even though the agency has grown considerably during this time, we’ve still managed to maintain a ‘family’ feel which is very rare in agencies of our size."

Kate, Account Supervisor

"I chose Tonic because it had a reputation as being one of the best and most reputable agencies in the business and I’ve stayed because each of my colleagues has become a friend, confidante and cheerleader over the years. "
